Hi & Assalamualaikum!
My name is Arinah. I’ve been involved in marketing since 2013 where my first job is Marketing Executive at a start-up e-commerce company called imanshoppe.com
Back then, I didn’t know anything much about marketing. When I studied Business & Management course at Glasgow Caledonian University, UK, I was clueless. I even took Financial Investment as my main elective because my parent said that the job opportunity in the financial sector was growing & safe in Malaysia.
Well, if you come from an Asian family like mine, you know how it goes.
When I finally graduated, my eldest sister asked me to come work for her. She started up this e-commerce bookstore with her friends called imanshoppe.com. I was clueless (still) and told her, “Yeah, sure. But only for 1 year. After 1 year, I’ll be looking for another job.”
Turn out, I’m loving every minute of it. I learn everything on my own from website development, customer service, fulfill customer orders, to digital marketing. I basically learn about how to do business from 0.
Fast forward until today, we are growing from 4 people team to almost 50+ people company. Honestly, it’s been a whirlwind journey and I’m so glad to be part of it.
Here’s the summary version of it:
I have a great opportunity to work in a company that emphasizes growth. I’ve learned and executed almost all digital marketing strategies and techniques at my company.
Throughout this journey, I have collected many tips and errors along the way. I also lead a multi-talented team and help to turn a start-up company (5 figures a month) into a hyper-growth company (8 figures a month) in less than 5 years.
Now, I want to share this journey with you.
